#THE CONTROL OF OUR DECISIONS
THE CONTROL OF OUR DECISIONS
How the subconscious dominate our daily actions
The only way to be free when making decisions is to be aware. We know that it is necessary to make decisions and make mistakes on a daily basis and that is the only way to realize how we think, act or react to situations. Of course, from a broader point of view, our deepest nature does not even know what it is to be wrong, to fail or to fail. Rather than focusing on results, it is more about discovering a quality in ourselves that we may have forgotten, and that is courage - the act of daring to do totally new things.
And it´s that our nature is very daring.
Perhaps we may have forgotten that daring quality because of the education we have received and that prevents us from opening ourselves completely to what we are. This means that instead of heading to goals that we are passionate about, to enjoy that maritime landscape of the waves, to listen to the person who is speaking to me, he is heading in the opposite direction, to the mental part of the images, thoughts and ideas. But that image that we have created of ourselves does not correspond to reality.
The mental part that we have been creating of ourselves is a closed reality. It is a construction of confused opinions, the product of years of accumulation of many ideas, of a selective memory focused on unresolved processes, of an image of my body and my incomplete face that change according to the way I get up, of thoughts that repeat over and over and they remind me that everything can be very difficult, hard or complicated ...
But all this doesn't sound true at all
The truth is always before us and must always be alive, clear and transparent - like sea water - otherwise it is not true. Even if we are going through moments of confusion or pain, we know deep down that this tendency to the negative is very relative. It is the relativity of thoughts. And no thought can define us, since they only focus on small parts, they are like shadows of the greatness and breadth of the experience that we always have before us.
Those thoughts that perhaps have become very important over the years are part of the mental reality that we are creating but they are essentially dreams. Most of those dreams that focus on incomplete processes that we have not fully understood, and what have become a dark reality based on fears that may haunt us throughout life. This does not mean that there is no need to be afraid, that there are no dangers, that everything is sometimes very hard to carry, but over the years, we should stop deceiving ourselves by what our thoughts tell us and let ourselves be guided by that subconscious that plays us tricks.
When we make decisions from the idea that we are alone in the face of danger, reinforced by the idea of separation as individuals, it already causes everything we do to weaken, what we say, since it is mainly based on isolation and because of that, it can't have a real resonance out there ...
Since then, I have lived in isolation from the incredible energy that comes with my relationships with others, from the wealth provided by the diversity and richness of the world around me, from the wisdom of observing any action or situation that allow me to learn and constantly advance.
When I open up to everything around me, -and this includes being willing to open up to fears or insecurities- that vulnerable part appears. I can feel more unprotected but it is the only way to become more sensitive in front of any type of situation. It may hurt, but there, in the midst of that pain, I am learning much more than any book or anyone can tell me. I realize how things really work, from me, when I stop closing in on myself, and I allow that pain to come out breaking the bars of old beliefs and conditioning
And everything - in due course - is resolved when every morning I look at myself in the mirror in a completely new way.
Each moment is charged with an incredible life force that gradually opens me to a fuller experience. It does not stop sounding too obvious because life is by definition vital force, but, we could not be alive, breathe, take actions, decisions, but sometimes it is necessary to remember it because many times we have that lack of passion, of lack of energy in what we do.
In some way, we have lost that natural bond with ourselves that we can recover at every moment, and with it, all the inner potential. Recovering that strength means we dare to do new things, to observe with the eyes of a girl or a boy, to be confident with what is to come, to trust in what our heart tells us regarding what purposes to follow, what decisions to make. A path that we don´t really know where it takes us but that makes us feel more and more confident, encouraged and safe.
It's about relaxing in the present moment and letting go of taking control of everything that happens. Let the decisions flow in the mind like everything else, like waves that end up resting on the shore of an endless, white and desert beach.
